Cashless Services


Protocol

  • You purchase a mediclaim policy from a public sector or private sector insurance company  OR  Your employer has a tie up with an insurance company for its employees.

  • The insurance company in turn has a tie up with a third party administrator (TPA) like Paramount Health Care Services or  United Health Care , etc.

  • You are issued a card bearing name of the TPA and the parent insurance company.

  • Each TPA has a network of hospitals on its panel

  • When you approach to any of these hospitals for treatment you are required to show your card at the reception counter.

  • The hospital will send a fax to the TPA for authorization for cashless hospitalization for your treatment giving details of history, diagnosis, treatment and expenses

  • If approved then you can avail of cashless hospitalization facility during your stay in the hospital

  • If  denied then you need to to pay the hospital bill and submit your papers for reimbursement to the TPA after discharge.
