This consists of different parts
(A) “ Mom to be” classes are meant to
describe the different changes that can take place in a pregnant
women, from the time of conception to 1st & 2nd trimesters i.e. upto
6 months, the symptoms they would have, signs they could expect ,
precautions that they should exercise, medication that is prescribed
for them; significance of investigation that may be advised. Warning
signs, complications are also discussed. Their queries are solved

Antenatal class to discuss the following up in pregnant ladies
with Pregnancy of 28 weeks & more ( i.e. 7th month onwards)
1.Stages of labour.
2.How
delivery takes place?
3.What the patients are
supposed to do?
4.How the doctors &
staff help them?
5.Postnatal care in the
word.
6.Establishment of
breast feeding.
7.What is abnormal
delivery?
8.Some information
regarding operative delivery.
9.Information regarding
gadgets word in the labour room like NST.
10.A trip to the labour
room to make them familiar with the atmosphere.
Some information
about the care of the newborn, jaundice, diarrhea, dehychation of the
newborn.
(C)Antenatal
class on Breast feeding.
Dr Suchita Ghag from
breast feeding promotion network of India condacts this class for
pregnant women with pregnancy of 28 weeks & more. This class
is at
3 pm on the 1st Saturday
of every month. She explains the following things:

Anatomy of breast

Physiology of
lactation.

Advantages of
breast feeding to the mother,

advantages of
breast milk to the baby,

proper positioning of baby.
